About the job
The before photos show an overgrown lawn with a gravel strip beside old blockwork walls, and old paving covered in leaves and debris next to a cellar hatch. The whole garden was dug out.
The process photos show a compacted sub-base with membrane laid, a railway sleeper planter built against the block wall with string lines and chalk marks marking out the levels, and the deck frame on posts by the house with slabs stacked ready.
The finished garden has a curved sandstone patio, stripe-cut turf, a Venetian slatted fence with small lights and a raised deck with a handrail and steps beside the cellar hatch. The close-up photo shows the turf meeting the sandstone edge.
